BMD on Track for Rail Construction

BMD has entered into an agreement with Aurizon for the culvert removal and replacement works on the Blackwater System and the North Coast Rail Line. The project will involve controlling the removal and replacement of rail.

BMD has engaged Rhomberg (rail partners) to assist with these works, which will include:

• Cut existing rail, remove track panel (rail / sleepers) and remove ballast; and
• Reinstate new ballast and track panel, weld rail, tamping and stressing of the reinstated section.

This is a fantastic opportunity for BMD to showcase their diverse capability in the rail sector and the project will ultimately improve transport efficiency in Central Queensland and New South Wales.
