Conjola Mountain wins Master Builders Association award
16 November 2010 - BMD Constructions was recently awarded the Excellence in Civil Engineering Award for Projects up to $50m by the Master Builders Association of NSW for the Conjola Mountain realignment of the Princess Highway. Completed just over a year ago, the project featured 5 kms of new highway and the highest 'reinforced soil walls' built in NSW, together with a 4 span bridge 25 metres tall on the side of Conjola Mountain.
The building industry awards generally focus on major building and architectural projects of distinction and as a result have only one category for civil engineering.
A senior representative of the MBA observed the Conjola construction in his south coast travel over the 12 months of construction and was so impressed at the planning, organisation and traffic management, that he recommended BMD submit the project to the MBA for consideration, as it exemplified their own ethos.
